"I often find myself torn between what a social media audience wants to see, and what the people in these photos want to see. I guess that’s the balance in this type of work, representing everyone in the best way to the outside world, but providing those memories for members. Some of my favorite photos are very spur of the moment, something that feels genuine and honest. The photo of Brie (our met runner) for example, she is totally in her element, but it’s such a real representation of something that happens every day here. I want to make sure that I’m providing the cool show action shots, but also proof of the small, behind the scenes moments that make each summer special."
